March 2026 PM Jobs Report: Steady gains, shifting geography

March is here, and the PM job market continues its upward trajectory — though the story this month is less about explosive growth and more about where the growth is happening.

The big takeaways

With nearly 26,900 open listings, the global PM job market grew 3.6% in March after February's powerful 12% rebound. Here's what stood out:

  • LATAM led all regions with a remarkable 17% jump, reversing months of stagnation and posting its strongest month since I began tracking.

  • Canada surged 16%, now up an extraordinary 67% year-over-year — the fastest annual growth of any region.

  • The Middle East grew 10%, continuing its steady climb with 26% YoY growth.

  • The US cooled to 1.0% after February's 15% bounce, suggesting a normalisation after the spring hiring burst.

  • EEA was the only region to contract (-1.6%), pulling back slightly after months of strong gains.

  • Remote and Hybrid both outpaced On-site — Remote grew 6.2% and Hybrid 6.1%, while On-site dipped 3.2%. Remote is now up 43% year-over-year.

  • All seniority levels grew, with Associate PM roles leading at 8.0% and Senior PM at 6.1%.

For job seekers, March's message is clear: the market is broadening. Growth is no longer concentrated in the US and UK — emerging markets are accelerating, and flexible work continues to gain ground.

Regional breakdown

United States: Cooling after the spring surge

The US market held steady at 11,509 PM jobs, up just 1.0% after February's 15% bounce. Year-over-year, the market remains healthy at +26%.

The standout story is Associate PM roles, which surged 28% — the strongest seniority-level growth in the US this month. Senior PM positions also grew well at 9.4%, while mid-level PM roles dipped slightly (-1.7%). Leadership stayed positive at 4.0%.

Hybrid roles jumped 17%, a sharp reversal from last month's -4.9%. Remote grew 9.4% while On-site fell 5.4%. The US appears to be slowly shifting towards more flexible arrangements.

APAC: Essentially flat, with mixed signals

APAC held at 4,389 roles, barely moving at 0.4%. The region is up just 6.3% year-over-year — the slowest annual growth of any market.

Mid-level PM roles grew modestly at 1.5%, but Senior PM (-3.8%) and Associate (-1.3%) both contracted. Leadership was essentially flat at 0.5%. On-site roles grew 2.6%, while both Hybrid (-3.5%) and Remote (-4.2%) declined — APAC remains firmly an in-office market.

EEA: A breather after sustained growth

The EEA pulled back slightly to 5,292 jobs (-1.6%), the only region to contract this month. However, with 19% growth over six months and 18% YoY, the longer-term trajectory remains strong.

Leadership roles were the bright spot, growing 4.9% and now up 35% over six months. Associate roles edged up 1.3%, while PM (-1.1%) and Senior PM (-3.8%) both dipped. On-site grew 5.5%, but both Hybrid (-2.8%) and Remote (-5.8%) contracted this month. Despite the monthly pullback, EEA Remote is still up 54% year-over-year.

United Kingdom: Steady growth continues

The UK grew to 1,689 jobs (+2.2%), now up an impressive 39% year-over-year — the second-strongest annual growth after Canada.

Mid-level PM roles led at 5.3%, while both Senior PM (-4.8%) and Leadership (-3.9%) pulled back after February's strong gains. Associate roles also dipped 8.3%, though they remain up 83% over six months from a small base.

Hybrid roles grew 5.8%, with Remote up modestly at 1.5%. On-site dipped 2.0%. The UK continues to offer strong flexibility for job seekers, with Remote up 52% year-over-year.

Canada: The breakout market

Canada reached 1,097 roles (+16%), now up a staggering 67% year-over-year — the strongest annual growth of any region globally.

Senior PM roles surged 31%, with Leadership and PM both growing strongly at 16% and 11% respectively. Associate roles dropped 50%, but this follows last month's 64% spike and reflects volatility at small volumes.

Remote roles exploded 49%, now up 86% year-over-year. On-site dipped slightly (-2.1%) while Hybrid grew modestly (1.2%). Canada is rapidly becoming one of the most flexible PM markets.

LATAM: The big comeback

LATAM had its strongest month in over a year, reaching 884 roles (+17%). After months of contraction, this is a significant reversal — though the region remains up only 10% year-over-year.

Senior PM roles surged 37%, and Leadership jumped 25%. Mid-level PM also grew well at 16%. Associate roles contracted 12%, continuing a difficult trend for entry-level candidates in the region.

Remote roles exploded 39%, now up 79% over six months. Hybrid grew 15% while On-site dipped 2.4%. LATAM is embracing flexible work at a rapid pace.

Middle East: Consistent growth engine

The Middle East reached 1,024 roles (+10%), now up 26% year-over-year. Growth was broad-based across most levels.

Associate PM roles jumped 25%, with Senior PM (+19%) and mid-level PM (+6.8%) also posting solid gains. Leadership was the exception, dipping 5.8%.

Hybrid roles led work environment growth at 19%, with Remote (+8.6%) and On-site (+5.0%) also positive. Remote is now up 71% year-over-year in the Middle East — one of the fastest flexibility shifts globally.

Seniority trends

Associate roles: Strong globally, with regional variation

Associate PM positions grew 8.0% globally, now up 33% year-over-year. The US (+28%), Middle East (+25%), and EEA (+1.3%) posted gains, while UK (-8.3%), Canada (-50%), LATAM (-12%), and APAC (-1.3%) contracted. The volatility at this level continues, driven partly by small sample sizes in some regions.

Mid-level PMs: Modest but consistent

Mid-level roles grew 2.7% globally, with LATAM (+16%), Canada (+11%), and the Middle East (+6.8%) leading. The US dipped slightly (-1.7%) and EEA was marginally negative (-1.1%). Over six months, mid-level roles are up 19% globally — solid and steady.

Senior PMs: Growth led by emerging markets

Senior PM roles grew 6.1% globally. LATAM (+37%), Canada (+31%), and the Middle East (+19%) led by wide margins. The US posted 9.4% growth, while UK (-4.8%), EEA (-3.8%), and APAC (-3.8%) all contracted. Year-over-year, Senior PM is up 24% globally.

Product leaders: Steady with regional outliers

Leadership roles grew 4.0% globally. LATAM (+25%), Canada (+16%), and the EEA (+4.9%) showed the strongest monthly growth. The UK (-3.9%) and Middle East (-5.8%) pulled back. Over six months, Canada's leadership roles are up an extraordinary 88%, suggesting significant investment in product organisation building.

Work environment

On-site: Losing ground this month

On-site positions declined 3.2% globally — the only work model to contract. The US (-5.4%), LATAM (-2.4%), UK (-2.0%), and Canada (-2.1%) all saw declines. Only APAC (+2.6%), EEA (+5.5%), and the Middle East (+5.0%) grew. Year-over-year, On-site is up just 11% — the slowest of the three work models.

Hybrid: Growing steadily

Hybrid roles grew 6.1% globally, now up 31% over six months and 23% year-over-year. The US (+17%), the Middle East (+19%), and LATAM (+15%) led growth. APAC (-3.5%), EEA (-2.8%), and the Middle East saw mixed signals. Hybrid continues to consolidate as a mainstream work arrangement.

Remote: The clear winner this month

Remote work grew 6.2% globally, now up 34% over six months and 43% year-over-year — the strongest growth of any work model. Canada (+49%), LATAM (+39%), and the US (+9.4%) posted the largest gains. Only APAC (-4.2%) and EEA (-5.8%) saw declines.

The flexibility trend is firmly established and accelerating in key markets.
